Do you now what the most scarce thing in this modern life is? Silence.
I don't mean the actual noise which is being the problem here, but rather the medias, the webs, the products, the companies, the people in our surrounding. Have you ever realize when you walk down the street, they bombard you with words, "buy me!" or "follow me!" or "like me!" even "fuck me!". Even if you just sit down in front of your computer, you don't even sit in silence. The webs try to catch your attention on their products; apps, online shops, and others web fucking ads. That makes something painful for us that called distractions.
Research shows distractions make us stupid. They make us quickly broke. They make us quickly obese. They steal our productivity. And even they say multitasking is root for most of our problems. So, stop it. Focus on what is really important.
So now the importance of personal system is emerging. Having a good personal system can help us to eliminate distractions, increasing efficiency, effectivity and of course, productivity.
Where you should start? Start with goal setting.
You'll arrive where you headed, right? You don't have goals, and you definitely will lost. Write everything, goals, ideas, schedules. Until you feel you have a good personal support system for your daily life. So you will feel each day makes you closer to your goal. Want to lose fat? Set 3 days exercise. Want to learn new hobby? Schedule and sign a weekly class. Want to be happier? Start volunteering. Want to network? Schedule weekly meetings.
And after you build those lists in your calendar, follow through them. Make them your new habit. It may be hard at first. But when you used to it, you'll amaze yourself.
After you wrote everything you need to do you will realize that you will never gonna like it. Because everything in your body will resist to change. We don't do what we should do, we settle for what is easy. That's why it is hard be part of 1% people who reach top of the world. I never say it is easy, but it is worth striving for.
